This research study is being conducted by Diptiman Banerji, who is a Fellow Program (Ph.D.) candidate in the Department of Marketing at the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta, Kolkata, India. The Research Committee of the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta, which is responsible for ethics approvals, has approved this study. Please read this form before agreeing to take part in this study.
This study is an attempt to collect information about your perception of service situations. It is expected to take approximately 15 minutes of your time. This is a cross-national study and for the current wave, we are asking for responses from US Nationals, staying in the US. We want to be able to compare certain cultural aspects of consumers' experiences across different cultures.
In this study, we will show you a photograph of a typical service situation and describe the situation. We request you to imagine yourself in the given situation and answer the ensuing questions accordingly. This questionnaire will be conducted using Qualtrics Research Suite software.
Risks are expected to be minimal for involvement in this study.
This research is not designed to help you personally, but the results may assist the investigator learn more about beliefs about how we perceive different service situations. We hope that, in the future, other people might benefit from this study through improved understanding of our perception of various service situations and what is important to us in these service situations.
All data obtained from participants will be kept confidential and will only be reported in an aggregate format. The data collected will be stored in the HIPPA-compliant, Qualtrics-secure database and no one other than the principal investigator (whose name is given below) will have access to the data.
There is no direct compensation. There is an indirect compensation, however, in the form of satisfaction that you have helped build scientific knowledge!
Participation in this research study is completely voluntary; you have the right to withdraw anytime.
